TerraCorps Land Stewardship Coordinator
Tim is serving as HLT’s AmeriCorps Land Stewardship Coordinator with the TerraCorps program from September 2022 through July 2023.
Tim loves spending time in the outdoors, particularly rock climbing and river swimming, and is always willing to go around just one more river bend to find the perfect swimming hole. He is excited to engage with the natural beauty of the Hilltowns in new ways as he learns about the region’s ecology and history through his role as Hilltown Land Trust’s Land Stewardship Coordinator. Tim is charged with caring for HLT’s conserved properties with the help of knowledgeable volunteers and hopes his experience with HLT begins a long journey of learning about and protecting the natural world. With a background in outdoor recreation and construction, Tim hopes to use his time with HLT to help others access and enjoy the natural world around them in sustainable ways, perhaps inspiring their own journeys towards land stewardship, a torch he believes everyone should carry in some capacity. Originally from NY but moving to the area from the Southern California desert, the dense woods of the region are a welcome and familiar change. Recently relocated to Greenfield, if he’s not out exploring HLT’s properties, you might spot him on the sweeping gneiss cliffs at Farley Ledges or see his head poking out of some backwoods creek as you drive by.
