We are very excited to announce a few recent grants totaling over $1,000,000 to support the Brewer Brook Forest Preserve Project! This project is a collaboration between Hilltown Land Trust, Kestrel Land Trust, the MA Department of Fish and Game, and the Westhampton Conservation Commission to protect 1,033 acres of forest land with high ecological integrity in the towns of Westhampton, Williamsburg, and Chesterfield.
Hilltown Land Trust was recently awarded a Baker-Polito Administration Landscape Partnership grant for $796,000 to support the overall project. This grant adds to $262,000 of project funding from the Open Space Institute secured by Kestrel Land Trust. In addition, Hilltown Land Trust’s involvement in this project is supported by a $40,000 grant from the Beveridge Family Foundation. We are thrilled with the support for the Brewer Brook project has secured thus far, and will be working with project partners in the coming months to raise the remaining funds needed to complete this collaborative project.
