Conserving Your Land

Your land, your future

Conserving your land ensures that it will remain in its natural state forever. People protect land for many diverse reasons—to maintain the scenic character of their community, to protect wildlife habitat or historic structures, or to provide recreational opportunities that will be enjoyed by future generations. Every landowner’s needs and interests are different, and there are a range of land conservation tools that can be tailored to your individual circumstances.

The best way to determine what is best for you and your land is to explore some of the conservation tools used by land trusts, such as conservation restrictions, agricultural preservation restrictions, and donation or sale of land. If you think Hilltown Land Trust is the right organization to work with, we encourage you to speak with our Executive Director, Sally Loomis, who you can contact by email or call at (413) 628-4485 ext. 2.
