The workshop will include a discussion around a campfire of sustainable forest management plans and tips for choosing a forester and logger.oxen logging event

The demonstration will take place on a property in the process of being protected by Hilltown Land Trust, and will include a short history of the land, its forest management and future silvicultural plans, and the effort to protect the 400 acre parcel. Participants should expect to be outside for the duration of the talk—so dress warmly!—and be walking through the woods in variable snow conditions. Participants are encouraged to come with questions about forestry and draft animal logging.
