March 4, 2015

Date/Time
Date(s) - Mar 4th, 2015
9:45 am - 12:00 pm

Location
Helen E. James School

Join the Hilltown Land Trust (HLT) for a mid-week snowshoe on Wednesday the 4th of March on our beautiful Breckenridge Sanctuary. All are welcome for a short snowshoe through this beautiful 67-acrea property. We will be walking along the existing 1-mile loop trail, which crosses Blake Brook over a wooden bridge, traverses two steep eskers, and meanders along a section of the West Branch of the Mill River. This is a moderate to easy hike. Hiking poles are recommended for balancing across the bridge.

All are welcome and we encourage you to bring a bottle of water, warm clothes, and appropriate footwear. Several pairs of snowshoes will be available.

Where: Breckenridge Sanctuary, Old Goshen Road, Town of Williamsburg. Meet at the old Helen E. James School (16 Main Street, Williamsburg, MA 01096) at 9:45 AM to carpool to the hike site; the hike will begin at 10:00 AM.

Directions: The old James School (carpool site) is in the center of Williamsburg just south of Rt. 9 at 16 Main Street, Williamsburg MA 01096 (at the eastern corner of Rt. 9 and South Street). We will meet in the parking lot closest to South Street. The Breckenridge Property is on Old Goshen Road in Williamsburg.
