We’re thrilled to be announcing our collaboration with our neighbors over at The Venture Out Project! Join our two organizations for an LGBTQ+ family day in nature. Our time together will include outdoor play, songs, games, and a short, ~1-mile guided hike and nature exploration. Folks are encouraged to stay for an optional group lunch afterward!
Due to the nature of our activities, the suggested age range for this event is 5 years and older, but younger children are welcome with parental supervision. Please contact us with any questions.
We define an LGBTQ+ Family as a family where any member of the family (adult or child) identifies as lesbian, gay, bisexual, pansexual, trans, non-binary, gender non-conforming, or more. This day is for any and all members of your family – kids, parents, grandparents, and care-givers alike.
Access Notes
Hike:
- ~1-1.5 miles on gravel road and woods trail / 200-300’ elevation gain
- We’re asking families to leave their furry companions at home for this event.
- An indoor bathroom is available and accessible by a ramp.
- Seating options will be offered during stationary portions of the event.
- Notchview is not accessible by public transit.
Cost
Sliding scale donation of $0-40. Your donation supports future programs like this at HLT.
Proceeds split with The Venture Out Project.
