Mindfulness Hike

April 29, 2017

Date/Time
Date(s) - Apr 29th, 2017
2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Location
Bradley Property

Experience nature in a whole new way: take a mindful walk in the woods. For those who thought they couldn’t possibly sit still long enough to meditate, Cheryl Wilfong leads an afternoon of meditation-in-motion. In addition to mindful walking, we will practice a few minutes of sitting-on-a-rock meditation and standing-on-a-bed-of-moss meditation. As we walk, we can practice hearing-birdsong meditation and smelling-the-forest meditation.

Cheryl Wilfong teaches mindfulness meditation in Brattleboro at Vermont Insight Meditation Center and also at Northampton Insight. Her blog, The Meditative Gardener, was named one of the “52 Meditation Blogs You Have to Read in 2017” by the Love Meditating website. Her book, The Meditative Gardener: Cultivating Mindfulness of Body, Feelings, and Mind has won 8 book awards. Follow The Meditative Gardener on Facebook.
