Do you have kids? If you want to get them excited about the outdoors, what better way than to go owling? On January 24th at 7 PM at the Meekins Library in Williamsburg, children’s book authors Jane Yolen and Heidi E. Y. Stemple will join our AmeriCorps Land Steward to lead an engaging evening program about owls. After learning about owls and hearing Ms. Yolen read Owl Moon, we will walk to Petticoat Hill Reservation to listen for (and maybe see!) some wild owls.
Please dress warmly, wear comfortable shoes, and bring a flashlight for the owling adventure.
