Things That Go Bump In The Night: Nocturnal Creatures Family Workshop

October 28, 2022

Date/Time
Date(s) - Oct 28th, 2022
6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Location
Bullitt Reservation

A black and white art image of the moon with three bats flying over it. Below is a silhouette of trees and hills, with a fox, squirrel, and beaver watching the moon.
Art by Sarah Welch.

Ever wonder what goes bump in the night? Come explore nocturnal creatures with environmental educator Monya Relles. We’ll learn with hands-on activities, games, and a craft at the end. Come get cozy around the campfire and sip some hot cider. Costumes are encouraged.

This program won’t be scary, and is suitable for families.

Recommended ages 5-9. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Access Info

Seating will be picnic blankets on the ground. We will also have adult size padded metal folding chairs available for those who would like the option.
It will be dark out during the entire program.
There will be opportunities for movement and games. Surfaces include a flat gravel parking lot, wood chip mulch paths, and a flat mown grass area.
The bathroom at the Bullitt Reservation is accessed by a ~60-foot wooden ramp with low (2″) side guide rails but no handrails. There is a large single-stall indoor bathroom on the first floor with a changing table, grip bars, and roll-up sink.

Cost

Sliding scale suggested donation $0-25.

If it is within your means, please make a gift so that we can continue offering programs with an inclusive fee structure. To become a member of Hilltown Land Trust for the year, make a gift in any amount to support our efforts to conserve and care for ecologically valuable land in the Hilltowns.
