Federal Funding and HLT

April 21, 2025

A black bear crossing a beaver dam.

We won’t compromise on our values.

Because most of our conservation, stewardship, and community work is not contingent on federal funding, we expect to experience the effects of executive orders more indirectly and over the long term. We’re doing our best to brace for possible changes, especially to the TerraCorps service program.

Our efforts to build just relationships of care with the land and with each other will continue regardless of federal policy or other challenges.

Hilltown Land Trust remains committed to our mission of conserving and stewarding land through relationships for the benefit of all.

To learn more about our vision for vibrant, inclusive land conservation in the Hilltowns, take a look at our new strategic plan.
