Local runners have organized two trail races coming up in June on conserved land in The Hilltowns. We are delighted to announce that both races will benefit Hilltown Land Trust!
The first, Chesterfield Gorge Ultra & 25k, will take place June 1st and 2nd at the Chesterfield Gorge in Chesterfield. Runners can choose between a number of different lengths to run: 25k, 50k, 50 miles, 100k, and 100 miles. To learn more and to register, visit https://www.runreg.com/chesterfield-gorge-ultra. Please note that the bridge on Ireland Street in Chesterfield is being repaired and people traveling to the Gorge from Chesterfield will need to take a detour.
The second race, the Two Bridges 5 Mile Trail Race, will take place the next weekend, on June 8th. This 5-mile trail race will start at the Bullitt Reservation and go along the Two Bridges Trail to Chapel Brook and back. We are honored and grateful that these race organizers chose HLT as a beneficiary of these events. Both of the events take place at properties protected by our affiliate organization The Trustees. Our community and partnerships make our organization stronger and better able to perform the important work of conserving land in The Hilltowns!
