Thank you to the many runners, walkers, volunteers, spectators, knitters, crocheters, and raffle donors who made the 13th annual Gorge après Gorge 5k race and walk a great success. Event highlights include a female race victor for the first time ever (go Apryl!), a record 125 runners, race participants spanning 8 decades, and a stellar team of volunteers who made it all run smoothly. We had over 200 people outside enjoying a lovely location in Western Massachusetts on a chilly November morning.
We are so grateful to founders Leslie Charles and Tanya Rapinchuk, who invited us to help organize, run, and benefit from this special community event. This was the third Gorge après Gorge HLT has been involved in and we feel so fortunate to play a part in putting on a race/walk that brings people together to enjoy the beauty of the natural landscape at the Chesterfield Gorge, in the heart of our service area. Proceeds from the event are shared between the Zephyr Rapinchuk Memorial Fund and Hilltown Land Trust.
