Pettingill Field, Cummington MA."We’re celebrating 40 years of conservation made possible by YOU, our amazing community! Come raise a toast (or slice of cake) and enjoy a laid-back, family-friendly event, featuring local environmental voices, lawn games, and the inside scoop on conservation in the Hilltowns.

Remarks at 11 AM. Light refreshments and birthday cake (with GF/V option) available. Bring a picnic and stay after for lunch!

Rain date: Rain or shine.

COST: Free
AGES: Family-friendly – there is a playground with swings, slides, monkey bars, and more!
DOGS: Please leave non-service dogs at home.
RSVP: Optional, appreciated to help us plan.

Accessibility

  • Steps and barriers: Barrier-free access to pavilion; more info on bathrooms forthcoming.
  • Audio: Remarks will use a megaphone or PA system.
  • Bathrooms: Gendered indoor bathrooms; more info forthcoming.
  • Fragrances: To be respectful of those with allergies and environmental sensitivities, please refrain from wearing strong fragrances.
  • Parking: Multiple ADA/handicap parking spots next to pavilion, other parking on crushed gravel and lawn.
  • Public transportation: The Link413 does not run on weekends.
  • Seating: Picnic tables, including roll-up accessible tables. Seating is under an open-air pavilion.
  • Surfaces: Concrete pavilion floor. Beyond the pavilion are graded gravel paths and grass lawn.

On Route 9 heading west through Cummington, turn right onto Main Street across from the fire station and a quarter mile after the bridge. The turnoff for Pettingill Field will be shortly on your right, just before Cummington Supply. Staff and volunteers will direct you for parking.
