Join us for a hike on Bullitt Reservation trails from 11:00am-12:30pm on a guided ramble, finishing in time for the Artful Scarecrow-Building Workshop hosted by the Trustees of Reservations. Distance and pace will be determined by the group. Come dressed in layers and wear a pair of sturdy hiking shoes. Then, come to the Trustees of Reservation’s Artful Scarecrow-Building Workshop with Michael Melle from 1:00pm-4:00pm at the Bullitt Reservation, home to the Hilltown Land Trust. Michael Melle makes beautiful life-size figures from organic and found materials, and will provide materials and his expertise for you to build an artful scarecrow of your own. Directions:
From Points North: From I-91, Exit 25, take Rt. 116 West approx. 10 mi. through Conway and into Ashfield. Turn left onto Bullitt Rd., proceed approx. 1 mi. (pavement
turns to dirt) to driveway and white buildings on right where road turns sharply left. Note: Do not take North Poland Road to Bullitt Rd. It is an unmaintained road that is not passable for much of the year.
From Points South: From I-91, Exit 24, take Rt 5 North. After 1.1 mi., turn left onto Rt. 116 West. Follow approx. 10 mi. through Conway and into Ashfield. Follow
