Help us with the final tasks for a brand new trail!
Volunteers have been working since last spring to build a sustainable new trail at our Bradley property in Williamsburg. The new trail is built to prevent erosion and give hikers an enjoyable and leisurely hiking experience despite the steepness of the terrain. Learn about sustainable trail design as you join in for the construction of the final sections of the trail. Tasks will include bench cutting (i.e. flattening out the path with shovels and hoes), raking, trimming branches, and hauling brush.
All experience levels are welcome! Dress in sturdy shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Work gloves and tools will be provided.
