It’s that time of year again! Join us for this year’s Gorge après Gorge 5k Trail Run and Family Fun Walk the week of November 28th-December 5th. This annual event is entering its 16th year, traditionally held the Sunday after Thanksgiving at the Chesterfield Gorge.

A large group of runners departs the starting line at the Gorge après Gorge.

Register now!

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s event will be held virtually. Participants will run their races individually (or in family groups!) and upload their times to an online portal. Runners and walkers use a well-marked course with a beautiful view of the Westfield River. Handmade hats will be awarded to category winners, with additional prizes for the runners who log the most miles at the Chesterfield Gorge during race week and to the racer that can fit the most elevation gain into a 5k in the Hilltowns. For participants who can’t make it to the Gorge in person this year, we’ll also be awarding a prize to the fastest 5k recorded outside our service area. All participants will be able to claim their personal cookie medals at the Chesterfield General Store (details to follow)!

TRAIL DESCRIPTION: A well-marked course, the dirt road/trail is a slightly hilly out and back along the Wild and Scenic Westfield River, starting at the Chesterfield Gorge. Be mindful of the roots, rocks, and any ice and snow which may be on the trail! Please note: restroom facilities at the Gorge remain closed, please make preparations accordingly.

REGISTRATION: 5k Registration: $20 ($15 for members of Hilltown Land Trust or The Trustees). Discounts for Families and FREE for runners under 10! If you are a member of HLT or the Trustees and did not receive a coupon code, please contact us.

Register now on RunReg!

GIVEAWAY: Share photos of your post-race celebration with us for a chance to win some exciting prizes! Keep an eye on our Facebook page for more details.

FAMILY FUN WALK: Free, as always! Please register to help us track participation.
