We are excited to be partnering with SCA AmeriCorps to offer a snowshoe at Kenneth Dubuque Memorial State Forest in Plainfield & Hawley! Join us for an afternoon in the woods led by our AmeriCorps member Katie along with Jesse and Darren from SCA AmeriCorps. As we walk through the forest, Jesse and Darren will teach us about Leave No Trace, a set of ethics for enjoying the outdoors in a responsible and sustainable way.
Bring your own snowshoes and/or ice grippers. In the event of not enough snow for snowshoeing, this event will turn into a hike! The length and route of the hike will depend on the group.
Meet at the Dubuque State Forest parking area next to the SCA AmeriCorps camp on Route 8A north of 116. It is labelled on this map of Dubuque.
