“Forest resilience” is a big buzzword right now, especially in the face of climate change. But what does a resilient forest – or farm or field – really look like? Join us in this series to connect with local foresters and learn from real stories of sustainable land stewardship.
Together with the deedholder (landowner) and Hilltown Land Trust staff, licensed Forester Lincoln Fish of Bay State Forestry will give a tour of a forest he manages on Nash Hill Road in Williamsburg. Curious about what a forest management plan can do for your land? Want to learn more about forest health? Eager to look at forests with a new perspective? This free walk is for you!
This series is part of the Resilient Upper Mill River Watershed Project in Williamsburg funded through the Commonwealth’s Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness (MVP) program.

We will walk up 2 miles (depending on group interest and ability) through fields and forest on a variety of uneven trail surfaces. Bathrooms, seating, and public transportation are not available at this location.
