November Work Day at Conwell

November 20, 2022

Date/Time
Date(s) - Nov 20th, 2022
9:30 am - 12:30 pm

Location
Conwell Property Trailhead

6 volunteers, male and female, dressed in pants, jackets and hats are smiling at the camera while one looks off in the distance. They are standing at an opening in the forest with small pine and hemlock trees and the sun peaking through the trees in the background. Shadows are cast towards the camera.

Join Hilltown Land Trust for a trail maintenance work day at the Conwell Property in Worthington! We will be building bridges (tiny ones!), clearing trails, removing saplings, and if we’re lucky, building new trail down to Jackson Swamp.

Pre-registration is required.

Access Info

Volunteers will be asked to work both on and off trail in a woodland setting. On-trail work will be on moderate terrain, with some rocks and roots underfoot, likely leaf covered. Off-trail work will be mostly moderate, but may involve short sections of steeper terrain with poor footing. The farthest point from the trailhead where work is planned is ~1 mile from the parking lot. Work gloves and tools will be provided, but feel free to bring your own.

There are no bathrooms or benches for sitting on the property.

Dogs are welcome!
