Join this beginner-friendly bird walk with Bill Randolph of Hampshire Bird Club. We’ll review birding tech like Merlin and eBird, practice visual and sound ID, and explore the beautiful ponds and wetlands at Conwell during fall bird migration.

Binoculars will be available for loan.

COST: Sliding scale $0-25.
AGES: Teen and adult
RSVP: Required

Accessibility

  • Bathroom: There are no facilities at this location.
  • Distance Traveled: 2 miles round trip over rolling terrain. We will move at a moderately slow pace and stop frequently to view birds on our way to and from our destination, a beaver pond.
  • Fragrances: To be respectful of those with allergies and environmental sensitivities, please refrain from wearing strong fragrances.
  • Parking: On grass lawn along a gravel driveway.
  • Public transportation: Public transit is not available to Conwell. Contact us if you are interested in coordinating a carpool.
  • Seating: There is no seating at this event.
  • Surfaces: On and off-trail forested terrain with roots, rocks, and potential for mud.
