Community science for the land: “We need to understand it in order to protect it”

November 17, 2025

A group of seven warmly dressed people gathers around a forest floor, laughing together and investigating autumn mushrooms.

This year, Hilltown Land Trust kicked off a biodiversity monitoring program that helps us understand life on the land we conserve. We need your help collecting the data.

It’s a 5k…and so much more.

November 17, 2025

Runners and walkers on an autumn day at the Gorge.

Come on down to the Gorge apres Gorge! Sun, Nov. 30, 9:30 & 10:30 AM

Volunteers, HLT needs your handmade hats!

October 8, 2025

A teal cartoon graphic with balls of yarn that says "Calling all Crafters! Gorge apres Gorge 5k Seeks Handmade Hat Donations. Help us congratulate our top finishers and raise funds for land conservation! In the center of the graphic is the Gorge apres Gorge 5k and Fun Walk logo of a bear wearing a hat, with a speech bubble saying "Send us your hats by November 20th!"

It’s almost time for the Gorge apres Gorge 5k and Family Fun Walk – and Hilltown Land Trust needs your crafty help.

Celebrating our community this September 13th!

September 3, 2025

A festive graphic of a grass-ringed pond, party banner, and the HLT logo bears. Text reads "Hilltown Land Trust Community Gathering. Saturday September 13, 10 AM - 12 PM, Beaver Brook, Haydenville MA."

All are invited to Hilltown Land Trust’s first annual Community Gathering!
