From 1986 to 2010, Hilltown Land Trust operated as an all-volunteer organization conserving land in the rural Berkshire foothills of western Massachusetts. Since then, HLT has added two permanent staff members, expanding to conserve more than 5,000 acres of ecologically and culturally significant land across 13 towns. This year, HLT is ready to expand the meaning of the conservation work we do in western Mass and beyond – and, for the third time ever, our staff!
Hilltown Land Trust is looking for an Office Manager to guide the day-to-day administration of our small team of two staff members and two TerraCorps members. This is a 20 hour per week position based at our office in Ashfield, MA. Duties include processing donations, thanking donors, scheduling meetings, and occasional property visits. This is primarily an office-based position, though candidates with interest may take on more responsibilities such as assisting with property monitoring and management and planning educational events as time allows.
Interest and experience in conservation is a plus, but not a requirement. We seek a detail-oriented and organized person to become a vital member of our small staff team.
Pay is budgeted at $20 per hour.
