Mill River Flood Resilience: Community Public Forum

December 11, 2024

Date/Time
Date(s) - Dec 11th, 2024
6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Location
Anne T Dunphy School

A map outlining the drainage area of the Mill River overlaid by the town of Williamsburg.
The Mill River watershed is outlined in red, with Williamsburg outlined in yellow.

A watershed is an area of land that drains all the streams and rainfall to a common outlet. It consists of surface water like lakes, streams, reservoirs, and wetlands, as well as groundwater.

Come learn about the Mill River Watershed and why Williamsburg is especially vulnerable to flooding.

A presentation by consultants working on the Mill River Watershed analysis grant funded by the Town’s two-year Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness grant will be followed by a facilitated conversation to get your input on how Williamsburg can prepare for future floods.

Supported by the Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness (MVP) Program of the Executive Office of Energy & Environmental Affairs.

Organized by the town of Williamsburg, Pioneer Valley Planning Commission, Dodson and Flinker, VHB, Hilltown Land Trust, and the Mill River Greenway Initiative.

COST: Free
